Student Teaching

Ryan has been student teaching this past semester for his last semester of school. He is graduating in Health Education and was assigned a High school near our house to do his student teaching. He became very close to the kids in tenth grade and is sad to say goodbye. The last day of classes he took pictures with the kids. He came home with love notes from some of his secret crushes letting him know that they will miss him. When it comes to that I am thankful for him not being a teacher anymore. With how things are now a days it is so difficult to protect yourself when you are guy teacher. He told me yesterday that he was excited to be done with school but will miss having the opportunity to help uplift and inspire kids by teaching. I am so proud of him and his accomplishments these past five years of being in school. Love you baby!!

Ryan could almost fit in as one of the kids :) I can't blame you/him for being glad he doesn't have to teach. It is a crazy world now. So much crap in the schools, home life, discipline, etc. I bet you are glad he is going into another area of work!

So I was asked a couple of weeks ago to teach a class for Enrichment on: HOW to CREATE a SAFE BLOG I had been fighting the feeling of putting my blog private for sometime now. Family comes to visit and An UNWANTED Vistor comes to visit!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last week I was home doing some work before I had to leave for a Home Visit. I was siting on my couch when I hear someone on my back porch moving our chairs around. I thought it was Ryan since sometimes he comes in from the back when he puts his tools and ladders away. Except after this man gets the chair he places it in the corner by our french doors and sits down! My heart starts to beat and I go to the front to see if Ryan's truck is outside. His truck is NOT outside!!!! I then go to the window where the previous renters had broke and pear out and see a man sitting in my chair with tattoos all up his arm, wearing a wife beater and dickie shorts. He is crouched really close to the wall on the chair. My hearts begins to beat so fast! THERE IS A MAN ON MY BACK PORCH AND I AM HOME ALONE! My first reaction was to call the police. Walking What???

The past few weeks I have had a lot going on in my life. From the worries of new job resposibilities, loss of another baby, and lots and lots of travel I think my body just gave up from the emotional, physical and mental stress. Before we left for Chicago I was dealing with a sore throat and headache that seemed to stick around for a week or so. Then by last weekend when we were headed to California it went into my lungs. Those of you who have lived with me, espesially in college, know what comes with this outcome..........yes a wonderful sounding almost music like barking cough!!! My Senior Year I got Bronchitis really bad and ever since then I enjoy the wonderful outcome of what should be just a simple cold that you get over easily but not for me. Well this bark grew to a fever, sinus infection and having no energy. With taking pretty much all week off of work and trying to sleep and get rid of it and seeing no end in sight, I surrendered and went to the doctors last night! I hate ha...
