Thank Goodness for Technology

I am so thankful I live in a time where there is an abundance of ways to keep in touch! I have used some of it with living away from my parents and brother but really REALLY have come to APPRECIATE it so much now that Ryan and I have been away from each other almost 8 weeks=2 months!

I am thankful for TEXT messaging!!

Especially since he and I both are working during the day and neither of us have a GREAT opprotunity to pick up the phone and talk! It has been so nice to TEXT him: I LOVE you or Hope you are having a GREAT day and be able to feel close to him EVEN though I am so FAR away.

I am also thankful for PICTURE TEXT messaging!!! It has given me a chance to see Ryan and my Haydeez during the day when I need an uplift or just need to see their faces.

 When Ryan was first away from me he would text me a picture of him and haydeez pretty regularly. We then started a trend to try to send a picture at least every other day but it has been pretty consistent of everyday. A picture text in the morning to wish him a GOOD day and to LET HIM SEE me as if I was saying it to him in person. It then became a little ritual that made us feel closer to one another. I look forward to our daily photo talk! :)

Ryan told me that he asked Haydeez, "Where is mama?" and he quickly jumped to look out the window to see if I was there!  :(







I have been blessed with work to have a lap top and it has a built in web cam so after about a month of texting pictures and talking back and forth over the phone we found time to use SKYPE and talked for over an hour. It MEANT so much to me since I know how much Ryan HATES talking over the computer. I will SKYPE my brother and his family and Ryan is NEVER down to join in. He knew how much it meant to me and made me so VERY happy.

It has been almost 7 weeks since Ryan left to go back to Seattle and I am so HAPPY because he will be here on Friday!!! It will be a few days short of 8 weeks! I cant believe how fast it has gone! I am so thankful that I have been able to stay with dear friends while he has been away from me. 

I found a home in the Silverado Ranch area. It is right in the middle of my area of families so it works out perfectly so I can go home for lunch and for down time. It has a little backyard with grass for Haydeez and hopefully a new friend ( want to get another puppy friend for him)!!! We have a guest bedroom for anyone who wants to visit and a two door garage for our cars to be placed out of the BLAZING SUN!!! I feel the LORD truly guided me to this area and provided a nice home for a price that we can afford and be able to put away money for a rainy day.

I am so excited to be back together as a FAMILY and start the next adventure that the LORD has planned out for us!

I am so glad that you have been able to keep in such good contact with Ryan!! I am sure that has made things so much easier for you. It seems like the last 8 weeks flew by. I am sure for you it didn't go as fast as it did for me, but it is finally here and you can be reunited with your sweet family!! I love you Karm and miss you so much!

I too am grateful for technology. You're pictures you send me are like Christmas presents. They make my day! After reading your post I thought about where we'd be if we didn't have phones & text messaging? I'd be VERY lonely and sad. I need my Karm fix and am glad I get it as often as I do. Love you TIAB!

My goodness Karmann - I haven't been able to read your blog for the past few months, so I just read through and got caught up. You amaze me. Every single post is full of such faith and hope. Even amidst all that you've gone through, you still have more faith than anyone I know. I am so proud of you. I hope you and Ryan are able to be reunited soon - and I'm excited that you were able to find a house!! I hope we really do get to see you guys soon!! Love ya :)

You poor thing, I think I would die with out seeing Casey for that long. You are such a strong woman Karm..seriously! Love the pictures especially the one of the two of them in bed..so sweet! yeah for your new home, you'll have to post pictures! Texting is great, I just got Casey to start texting and it's been awesome! It took him seeing me and his Dad texting before he decided to start. LOL Glad you two are together again and I'm guessing he started school already? I love you!!! Thanks for the e-mail, it sounds like I'll be calling you for sure and I should start any day now. Love ya!

Family comes to visit and An UNWANTED Vistor comes to visit!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last week I was home doing some work before I had to leave for a Home Visit. I was siting on my couch when I hear someone on my back porch moving our chairs around. I thought it was Ryan since sometimes he comes in from the back when he puts his tools and ladders away. Except after this man gets the chair he places it in the corner by our french doors and sits down! My heart starts to beat and I go to the front to see if Ryan's truck is outside. His truck is NOT outside!!!! I then go to the window where the previous renters had broke and pear out and see a man sitting in my chair with tattoos all up his arm, wearing a wife beater and dickie shorts. He is crouched really close to the wall on the chair. My hearts begins to beat so fast! THERE IS A MAN ON MY BACK PORCH AND I AM HOME ALONE! My first reaction was to call the police. Walking What???

The past few weeks I have had a lot going on in my life. From the worries of new job resposibilities, loss of another baby, and lots and lots of travel I think my body just gave up from the emotional, physical and mental stress. Before we left for Chicago I was dealing with a sore throat and headache that seemed to stick around for a week or so. Then by last weekend when we were headed to California it went into my lungs. Those of you who have lived with me, espesially in college, know what comes with this outcome..........yes a wonderful sounding almost music like barking cough!!! My Senior Year I got Bronchitis really bad and ever since then I enjoy the wonderful outcome of what should be just a simple cold that you get over easily but not for me. Well this bark grew to a fever, sinus infection and having no energy. With taking pretty much all week off of work and trying to sleep and get rid of it and seeing no end in sight, I surrendered and went to the doctors last night! I hate ha...
