thankful

Image
Since it is Thanksgiving time I couldnt help but think of the tradition that my family always did at the dinner table right before we started eating. We would go around the table and each of us would say what we were thankful for. As a young child and then into the teenage years I would throw out the pat answers and move on so we could EAT! Now that I am a little older and really understanding the true meaning of Thanksgiving I couldnt help but think this year of what I am thankful for. As I live in the time of uncertainty I cant help but be first off thankful to have the knowledge of the gospel. What comfort it is to have such a peace to continue on when you are not sure what the future holds. I am thankful for a good job and a career that I love. I am thankful for my sweet spirits that touch my heart each week! They bring me such joy! I am thankful for Ryan's job and the hard work that he puts into it so that we can someday have me stay home. I am thankful for Ryan and all he doe...

Just Because

So the other week I come home from another long day at work and as I walk in from the garage and come to the main hall I see this! Ryan was not home when I got home but I was smiling from ear to ear. He got me my favorite roses, yellow with red tips! What a sweet boy! We have been having a lot of long talks about things that are happening and he is trying so hard to put up with me as an emotional rollercoaster. This just says it all that he loves me no matter what I may put him through! Thanks baby!

Walk for A Cure

Image
The last two years when I was in Vegas I did the JDRF walk. I had twins on my caseload that I worked with 2 hours a week and their older brother who is only 13 months older was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at the young age of 3! I kind of hold this disease close to my heart since one of my close cousins was diagnosed with diabetes at a young age and I watched what she had to go through and still does have to deal with and feel like this is such a good cause. One of my co-workers little girls was recently diagnosed at age three and I excitedly asked if I could join in on the walk this year and be able to keep doing my part for finding a cure. It was a fun day with two of my co-workers as we walked around Tempe Arizona. My two co-workers each had their little ones with us and we took turns pulling the wagon. It was 95 degrees on Nov. 1st so it was a little warm and I definitly got my work out! Every child's team picks a theme for their group. Our theme was Averie's Army and t...

Our New President Novemeber 4, 2008

Image
I have to be honest and just say that I HATE Politics and couldn't be happier that this whole thing is over and we can stop talking about the election and the debates and move on. I am trying to make this blog be a journal of my life so I thought it would be a good idea to put that our New President is Barack Obama. Although I am a little worried how things are going to go the next four years I can't help but think about the last conference session last month and all the words that were said about HOPE, TRUST, and FAITH. I think when we really ponder on those words it means we are to not fear for the future and to go forward. It is kind of cool to be around to see history be made and see our first African American President and to try to look at the positive in things right now, you have too!

TAGGED- Things about Me

Image
Tag ed So Deanna tagged me to say 2-7 things about me, so here it goes....This was a lot harder than I thought!!! 1. I love to dance. My mom put me in dance classes at the age 3. I started with ballet and tap and loved every min of it. At the time I could move up to point things fell apart at home and it was to expensive. I really would like to find a studio that teaches older students and get back into tap and ballet. In Junior high I was on the pom squad and then in Highschool did Cheerleading which did 8 counts and fun stuff like that. Then in college I just got down at apt dances and at school dances! I love dancing! I loved being in Vegas and having my work girls to go dancing one a month downtown. It truly is one of my passions and I find myself happy when I am able to do it. 2. I can be clumsy! I have issues of my right side of my body. I tend to not make enough room for it around corners. I hit my shouldars, face, leg, toe all the time. In high school I came around the corner a...
