EMULATE the SUNFLOWER

Last year was our first Summer in Arizona and it is a little bit different then Las Vegas. Yes they are both hot and at times unbareable but at least here in Phoenix you get to enjoy MONSOONS!!!! Last Summer when they rolled in about the middle of July Ryan and I would rush outside and sit on our back porch and watch the lighting, wind and rain come rolling across the sky! It is so cool. The rain comes down so hard and the wind is blowing like crazy that sometimes the air can be a big dust bowl! It doesnt cool down completely but it does help a little. It is nice to have some cloud cover for a little bit to get out of the intense heat of the sun. The only bad part is when the Sun comes out the next day it is humid! This week has been pretty intense with storms and the other night the rain was coming down so hard and the wind was blowing so hard I wanted to take pictures of it! Ok so for those of you who know me well and have been my roommate you know that I have serious issues when it comes to sleeping! I am a VERY or lets say EXTREMELY light sleeper and I can hear every stupid noise, voice, sound imaginable and it drives me crazy. I would get in big fights with my roommates and cause serious contention because when I want to sleep I want to sleep and I want it to be quiet! Yup a BRAT! Over the years of college I tried tissue paper and then on to cotton balls. It helped a little but not as well as I would have liked. When I got married it didnt get any easier. I could hear the tv in the other room, sounds of neighbors and of course the lovely sounds of nature! Ryan doesnt snore or breathe heavy he is a dream but still I have issues. I came across these beautiful things and they have been such a life saver for me (except when a tip broke off, different kind than this and caused so many illness problems if you want the story ask)! A few months ago Ryan and I had just finished dinner and was coming home and I asked him to stop at Sprouts to pick up some meat. We are trying to eat more organic and trying to buy better meat that isnt full of hormones. He hates to go to grocery stores but I begged and pleaded with him since it was on they way home. We stopped in and while we were waiting for our Brauts a guy at the meat window kept looking at Ryan and I. I was like to myself ( I wonder why he keeps staring) all the sudden he walks over to Ryan and says, are you Ryan Wennerlind? Ryan then says to him are you Jason Meyers? They both give each other a big hug and cant stop talking. I get to meet Jason's wife and we got to know one another as we have our groceries. Last week Ryan and I went to California for a Sealing in San Diego ( another post to come). A couple of days before the sealing we wanted to go and visit our dear friends from Vegas that moved to California a couple of years ago. We have kept in touch over the years but not seen them for a while! A little while ago they got some pretty sweet Quads and we were so excited to see them! Nope not Quads like this: EVEN better!!!
