4th of July Weekend-

Ryan's little brother and sister are staying with us for the summer and we thought it would be a fun idea to take them to California for the 4th and to spend it with Ryan's aunt and uncle. We left Thursday afternoon and the weekend seemed to be filled with the same activities that we did three weeks ago when we went for Ryan's birthday. We ended up at the Angels Game again and the spent the day at the beach on Sat and then went and saw Hancock in the movie theater. The one thing that I really enjoyed at the game was the Star Spangled Banner. They had this huge flag come out to the field and as the song was sung it was opened and was just the coolest site to see. Then a huge jet went by and I couldnt help but feel proud to be an American and so thankful to be able to live in this country. The fireworks show was even better than last time and they did a great 4th addition. Ryan was in quite the mood as you can see when I am wanting to get a picture of him and I. We ate these huge ft long hotdogs ( after one bite I want to puke) but seriously quite the site to see. Ryan's cousin's birthday is the 4th so we went home after fireworks and did our own in the backyard while she got her presents and cake. The next day Ryan and Drew did the boogie boards and skin boards at the beach while Stevie and I hung out on the beach. It was a nice getaway but I am always so happy to come home.

Comments

Wahoo! I love being the first comment. You do so many fun things! Does Ryan love baseball like Coby does? If we could ever get together they would have baseball to talk about! You always look so cute. How's all the meds, still working??

I loved that you described how you felt when the jet flew over, I always feel the same way. It gives you this rush and this honor of being an American! Sounds like you guys had a great time and I have to tell you, I love your red shoes!

Hey, we were in Cali at the same time. We went to the beach on Saturday, too. Ours was a little more crowded then yours seemed to be. We still had a blast, though. I just wish we could've done more to celebrate the 4th. Oh well. I still had a good time. Glad you did too.
