What not to wear and wear at the beach

So while we were in California last weekend enjoying ourselves at the beach. I start to looking around and people watching. I love doing that and I get in trouble sometimes from Ryan because it turns into a stare rather than a quick glance and he has to hit me or say my name to snap me out of it. I KNOW there are some of you who have done it too and know what I mean! Not being rude but just plain mesmerized. Well as I was scanning the beach I came across this.



Now don't get me wrong, I am not trying to be a brat and make fun of this man. He is probably a nice man and maybe not even from the U.S. I have to say though that I honestly don't care to see that much skin and so little cover up of the family jewels!! I know that it takes some serious confidence to go in public wearing pretty much nothing but I just don't find that to be attractive. I much rather see something like this. Shorts that come at least past the mid thigh but prefer the closer to the knee the better! What do you think?

hahahaha...I so agree! Men in speedos has something completely wrong going through their little brains (probably because they think its all in their shorts). I guy in swim trunks is way more sexy!!

AMEN Sista!! It really doesn't matter how hot someone may be... they put that suit on and their hot factor drops 200%!
I'm glad we got to hang out with you guys this weekend- it was way fun! And we went to lunch the next day at Daphne's again b/c we thought it was so good. (Hopefully she wasnt grossed out that we were wearing the same clothes as the night before...cuz thats how we roll!)

Nice post, I love it! Way to state your opinion and I completely agree with ya. Whenever we go to Florida that's all we see, old, leathered men wearing leaper thongs. Nasty!

I prefer the biker shorts myself...oh wait or is that just if Ryan or Paul is wearing them? LOL!!! I am seriously laughing hysterically to myself right now. Remember when the "premies" aka Ryan came to our apt. wearing a speedo or was it underwear with a wig sticking out? Oh my gosh! So I have to ask...did you really take a picture of some poor guy on the beach? Please tell me that in your mezmorized moment of weakness you did not snap a photo of some poor helpless person. I would die if I knew someone snapped a shot of me at the beach and put it on their blog to share with the world. Now a picture of me hiding in a cupboard...that might be better. LOL. Great post...made me laugh!!

Last week I was home doing some work before I had to leave for a Home Visit. I was siting on my couch when I hear someone on my back porch moving our chairs around. I thought it was Ryan since sometimes he comes in from the back when he puts his tools and ladders away. Except after this man gets the chair he places it in the corner by our french doors and sits down! My heart starts to beat and I go to the front to see if Ryan's truck is outside. This is really LONG and sorry mostly words but those of you who like to read my spiritual posts continue on because this is a big one! Just before Christmas Ryan and I were told about a possible adoption opportunity. We had talked about adopting in the past but had not done anything about it due to well.............. I cant really say. With this new opportunity of, just by chance my waiting to be a mom could be over, brought lots of emotions of excitement, joy, worry, anxiety, hope, and so many more. We needed to get our acts together right away in the process since the potential birth mom was due in May. Ryan's mom has a dear friend working for LDS services here in Washington and got us set up right away to get started on all the paperwork, online stuff, and going about getting all the background checks and homestudy done. So I was asked a couple of weeks ago to teach a class for Enrichment on: HOW to CREATE a SAFE BLOG I had been fighting the feeling of putting my blog private for sometime now. I am a little lazy and haven't wanted to take the extra time to get everyones email and then go through the process of changing things over but the time has come TO MAKE A CHANGE! I do use my blog to share my life and all aspects of it.
