Update

Since I haven't really gone and done anything really that interesting in the past few weeks I havent really had anything to post. I was thinking though, that I could update on what is going on now with us since Ryan and I have been in Phoenix now for a little over 2 months. I cant believe that it has gone by that fast already!!!

Ryan's work is going well. He is bidding on a lot of jobs and talking to different companies everyday. He hasn't landed any jobs yet but I feel that it is going to be soon. It takes so much effort to get things going and we trust that the Lord wanted us here and that if we continue to do our part he will bless us with job opprotunities.

My job is going well. I am up to 25 weekly kids that I see for one hour at a time. It is taking a little bit to get used to as I am not used to having 6-7 home visits in one day but I am liking it so far. I am trying to just work Monday thru Thrusday. I am trying to get back into the groove of going to the temple weekly again and have Friday mornings my day to do that. Not to mention to do housework, food shopping and then have Sat to acutally do something I want to do. I like having Fridays off too so if Ryan and I want to go somewhere we can have a three day weekend. So that is the plan and so far so good. :)

We got callings in church a couple of weeks ago and I am the achievement day leader for the primary girls. I am excited!! It is pretty close to YW and I loved that calling. Ryan is the 12 and 13 yr. Sunday school teacher and he is excited about it too. I think it is nice that he can do some teaching since he decided not to follow his dream and be a teacher. I am beginning to feel more apart of our ward too and starting to have some close friends. I am so shy at first ( I know, you may not believe that cause once I feel comfortable then watch out!!) so I take my time to let the real me out. We have a nice couple that live three houses down and she is such a great support to me since she has gone through a lot of the same issues of having a family.

Being here has been so nice since Ryan has a couple of Mission companions that live here and I get along with their wives so well. I have my college friends ( married to one another) too and it has been nice to have them here as well. It is hard to find couples that go well with both the girl and the boy and I feel lucky that we mesh so well.

I will have new things to post here in the next few weeks since I am going to Vegas this weekend to be with my girls from work and to surprise my Young Women and then off to Chicago for 5 days to see my family. It will be kind of weird since I am doing all of this by myself but sometimes that is how it goes.

Well that is what has been going on here for us........hopefully the future brings more exciting news!

Oh my gosh I'm so excited. I fly to Chicago on the 19th and I'm staying for a full week, are we going to cross paths???
I totally hear ya with finding couples where both Casey and I match up with the other couple. There have many times I find awesome girls, but Casey's not a fan of the hubby. I'm glad your feeling involved and have so many friends that are there for you. I hate how long it takes to feel "apart" of the ward, but once it happens it's awesome. So I went ahead and did the memory post because I got suck a kick out of yours. I love you and am glad to hear your doing well.

We are into our new home and the unpacking is almost done except for all the extra stuff in the basement! School starts on Monday and I will have more time to get organized. We have been welcomed into the neighborhood with cookies, banana bread, dinners and just plain kindness! I miss you and hope to see you sometime soon! Tia was complaining because the boys went on two boys trips and we only went on one girls trip! So maybe sometime this winter when it is cold and snowing here in UT we can come hang out with you in the sunshine! Love you!

Sounds like you guys have been pretty busy. Jason says he's super excited about Ryan's determination with the company. He's like a giddy little kid when he thinks about it and its funny. Glad to hear that you're doing well.

Yeaaaaaa! You have a blog! I am excited about it! We just barely started our blog. We strugle to think of what to say, but it will get more and more interesting so check it out :) courtstacy.blogspot.com Your blog is so cute! I'm glad everything is going well for you and you have a fun calling! I totally know what you mean about being shy at first. I am the same way for sure. I am still shy at church and we have lived here for almost 4 years. The bishop made us the door greeters at sacrament meeting. I think he's trying to get us to be more social. Anyway! So glad we can keep in touch with our blogs!

Stacy (and Court, but he hasn't seen this yet :)

Karm,

Were you getting tired of looking at the same thing when you came to my page, so you changed up your background? It was so fun to chat with you the other day. Sorry I didn't call you back, life got hectic as always. I am glad that you are enjoying life there so far. I think it always takes a while to get adjusted to a new area, but I am sure you will grow to love it more over the years. You will love activity days...I did at least. If you need ideas call or go to sugardoodlge.net (I love that site). Good luck babe! Talk to ya later.
XOXO
P.S. How did your weekend in Vegas turn out?
