Romantic Birthday Surprise

So I turned 28 on the 5th of September and I was blown away by my sweet husband on what he planned for my birthday. He kept asking a few weeks ago if I made sure I got Friday off. I figured he had something planned but did not expect what he had up his sleeve. Wednesday night he came up to me after we were done with dinner and let me know I needed to be packed tomorrow before I go to my afternoon meeting because once I got home my birthday was going to start. I was like ok! Thursday night he took me to the Scottsdale Plaza Resort and had got a reservation for a Villa there! The next day he had all planned out. We got up when we woke up, which was so nice and went to my favorite breakfast place- The Original Pancake House where I got my favorite, the Dutch baby. When we got back he let me know that I had a scheduled massage at the spa. I went and did my massage while he waited for me. It was AWESOME and so needed! I warned the girl of the massive knots she would find in my neck, shoulders and lower back and she did a great job working them out. After feeling like I was walking on a cloud we then spent most of the afternoon at the pool. After swimming at the beautiful pool we took a little nap together and then got ready for dinner at McGrafths Fish House. When we lived in SLC we would always go there when we wanted to splurge even though we were poor. It isnt a 5 star restaurant by any means but it definitly is a special one to Ryan and I. We both LOVE seafood and just enjoyed each others company. We then went back to the Villa and crashed in the King bed. ( by the way we are so getting one soon!)

I feel so lucky to have such an awesome romantic husband who wined and dined me all day and made me feel like a princess. I didnt want the day to end! I wasnt looking forward to turning 28 for many reasons but he made it perfect! Thanks baby!!!

Happy Birthday Karm! Ryan is so sweet and wow did he do a great job with planning. I love surprises and take advantage of that now before the babies come. :) I'm so jealous, a massage sounds so good right now. I'm sad we didn't get to meet up in Chicago, but if your ever in Cali please call us. Love ya

I'm glad you had a great birthday my was a crapy one this year and not because I'm getting older. Morgan was sick and I had to take her to the doctors and the doctor was running an hour 1/2 behind. Let me tell it sucked. Spending most of my day at a doctors office. Hey we need to talk again sometime like we did that one night one the phone. I love it Love ya always Missy E. I still have my groove.

Happy (late) Birthday!!! What an awesome surprise! Major brownie points for Ryan huh! Isn't Scottsdale Plaza so nice, Mike & I stayed there on our wedding night and loved it! Glad you had a fabulous birthday weekend! See ya soon!

Last week I was home doing some work before I had to leave for a Home Visit. I was siting on my couch when I hear someone on my back porch moving our chairs around. I thought it was Ryan since sometimes he comes in from the back when he puts his tools and ladders away. This is really LONG and sorry mostly words but those of you who like to read my spiritual posts continue on because this is a big one! Just before Christmas Ryan and I were told about a possible adoption opportunity. We had talked about adopting in the past but had not done anything about it due to well.............. I cant really say. With this new opportunity of, just by chance my waiting to be a mom could be over, brought lots of emotions of excitement, joy, worry, anxiety, hope, and so many more. We needed to get our acts together right away in the process since the potential birth mom was due in May. Ryan's mom has a dear friend working for LDS services here in Washington and got us set up right away to get started on all the paperwork, online stuff, and going about getting all the background checks and homestudy done. BIG CHANGE

So I was asked a couple of weeks ago to teach a class for Enrichment on: HOW to CREATE a SAFE BLOG I had been fighting the feeling of putting my blog private for sometime now. I am a little lazy and haven't wanted to take the extra time to get everyones email and then go through the process of changing things over but the time has come TO MAKE A CHANGE! I do use my blog to share my life and all aspects of it.
