Walk for A Cure

The last two years when I was in Vegas I did the JDRF walk. I had twins on my caseload that I worked with 2 hours a week and their older brother who is only 13 months older was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at the young age of 3! I kind of hold this disease close to my heart since one of my close cousins was diagnosed with diabetes at a young age and I watched what she had to go through and still does have to deal with and feel like this is such a good cause.

One of my co-workers little girls was recently diagnosed at age three and I excitedly asked if I could join in on the walk this year and be able to keep doing my part for finding a cure. It was a fun day with two of my co-workers as we walked around Tempe Arizona. My two co-workers each had their little ones with us and we took turns pulling the wagon. It was 95 degrees on Nov. 1st so it was a little warm and I definitly got my work out! Every child's team picks a theme for their group. Our theme was Averie's Army and then we had army shirts to match! I loved it!

That is so cool and I love the T-shirts. I am always so touched when I attend a 5k or a walk in behalf of something so important as breast cancer, diabetes or the pre-mature death of a someone. It unites us all in fighting for something and how fun is it to get out and enjoy each other and of course the exercise. I can't believe it's that hot in November, crazy!!!

And I thought we were having hot weather - it's been in the 80's here.

You comment is so funny and yes I do remember your sucky. I can't believe Ryan threw it away, that is just terrible. He should have just washed it and then given it back to you, I think I'd kill Casey is he did that! ha ha
You are so cute Karm, I miss you tons. I have so many fond memories of living with you and you bring such joy to all those you come in contact with. Hope your doing well!!
