Valentines Weekend Surprise
Valentines Day is special cause you get to spend time with your sweetheart and it is a day to express your love for one another even though you do it everyday of the year. Valentines is also special to Ryan and I because it marks the day we got engaged. Ryan's mom flew down Valentines weekend in 03 for his cousin's wedding. His mom and dad along with Ryan had fasted to know if he should marry me and felt that it was right. While she was there they were talking and she told Ryan that she wanted to give her son something that could be helpful but also meaningful. She then took off her newly upgraded wedding ring and gave it to Ryan to give to me. She told him to do it while she was there so we could celebrate the engagement together. So Friday night, Feb. 14th 2003 Ryan took me out for a Valentines Dinner at Outback and then we headed down to temple square where we spend a lot of time together while dating and Ryan proposed to me in front of the Christis at the Salt Lake Temple Visiting Center with the rings on the steeple of a crystal Nauvoo Temple.
He asked me to Marry him in the Nauvoo temple, the temple of my dreams. Such a wonderful night! So every Valentines we go to Outback Steakhouse and spend it together! This year Ryan's Uncle called us on Wed and invited us down to California for the weekend. We knew that we wouldnt be able to go to Outback while we were down there so we decided to go on Thursday night and asked our dear friends if they would like to join us.

We headed down to California late Friday night due to me having to work. We thought we were going to surprise his aunt and make her day with us being there but the joke was on us! Instead when we got there we were surprised by not only seeing his aunt but also his MOM!!!!!! She was surprised to see us and we were surprised to see her!!! It was so cool! I have missed seeing her so much and with everything that has gone on it was so nice to give her a hug and be with her! We spent Sat all together and then headed down to Santa Monica Pier for dinner and fireworks! We also got some free entertainment from this guy on the pier who thought he was part of the Harlem Globe Trotters! It was pretty dang funny. It was so nice to be with family again! Two weekends in a row! It was a VERY short trip due to driving most of it but both Ryan and I were so glad that we went!
The Amazing balancing act that some guy was doing along the Pier! Pretty dang funny!
Fireworks show! Awesome
All of us at dinner on the Pier
Love the Ferris wheel with the heart lights!
It was a wonderful Valentines Day with all the people I love!
