San Diego Temple and Seal Beach

A few months ago Ryan and I had just finished dinner and was coming home and I asked him to stop at Sprouts to pick up some meat. We are trying to eat more organic and trying to buy better meat that isnt full of hormones. He hates to go to grocery stores but I begged and pleaded with him since it was on they way home. We stopped in and while we were waiting for our Brauts a guy at the meat window kept looking at Ryan and I. I was like to myself ( I wonder why he keeps staring) all the sudden he walks over to Ryan and says, are you Ryan Wennerlind? Ryan then says to him are you Jason Meyers? They both give each other a big hug and cant stop talking. I get to meet Jason's wife and we got to know one another as we have our groceries. I DONT believe that it was an accident that we were both there!

The neat part of this story is Jason and Ryan have known each other since kindergarten and were friends with sports in elementary and middle school. High school things changed and they grew apart. A little over a year ago we heard that Jason joined the Church and married a girl that was a member. Ryan was in shock and then was so happy. Jason and his wife moved here to Phoenix not to long ago and we live about 10 min away from each other! They told us that Jason was getting the priesthood the following Sunday and wanted us to be there and then invited us to their sealing in the San Diego Temple.

Jason and Cheryl coming out after being sealed!

My best friend in Vegas was visiting family in San Diego and came to give me a quick hug!

I love how you come around the corner on I 5 and there it is! So beautiful!

Pictures just dont do justice!!

Breath Taking!!!

I love this one with the temple behind us!

Being in the temple is always such an amazing experience. I love being in there so much. It is always special to go when people you care about are going through for the first time. It was so neat to see Jason and Cheryl go through and especially watch Jason just soak everything in and so excitd! Ryan and I just sat in the celestial room talking about how amazing the gospel is and how lucky we truly are to have it in our life but more importantly to be raised with it. Our testimonies have been strengthened by Jason's example. He is so excited, so happy, so thankful and can't get enough of what the gospel has to offer. I think sometimes we take for granted just how special all the things that we have known all of our life. As we watched the two of them be sealed together for all eternity both Ryan and I were in tears! It is so special and we both couldnt be more thankful for eternal marriage and family and the knowledge of the gospel. For me especially the gospel has been such an anchor in my life. It is what helps me get up in the morning and face a new day even when I don't know what the future is going to be. I know that as long as I am doing my part and living up to the covenants that I have made whatever is meant to be for me will be. Come what may!

After the sealing we headed back to Seal Beach to his Aunt and Unlce's house. Ryan's mom and grandma flew in so we were able to hang out with them for the weekend before heading back to Phoenix! Nothing is more relaxing then hanging out with your family and have the ocean in your front door! All in all with seeing the Quads and our friends from vegas, the temple sealing and then family it was such a nice vacation and get away!

Now I need to be only 10 min from your house! What are the local job posting sights near you? If we can get Court a Non Destructive Testing job down there we will move next to you by next summer. Not even kidding! But there are no jobs here, so hopefully there are more down there!!!

WOW! That is so neat how it all worked out. Running into Ryan's friend at the store to making it to their sealing. I am sure his friend was happy to have a friend like Ryan there with him on that day. What a neat experience. BTW I love the San Diego temple! I think it has to be one of the prettiest ones!!!

How fun! I love to hear of the Lord's hand guiding lives and putting people together! We were living in SD when the temple was built and were able to attend the dedication so the San Diego Temple has a special spot in my heart. You look beautiful as always! Love and miss you!
