What we look forward to when dealing with 115 degrees everyday in the Summer!

Last year was our first Summer in Arizona and it is a little bit different then Las Vegas. Yes they are both hot and at times unbareable but at least here in Phoenix you get to enjoy MONSOONS!!!!

Last Summer when they rolled in about the middle of July Ryan and I would rush outside and sit on our back porch and watch the lighting, wind and rain come rolling across the sky! It is so cool. The rain comes down so hard and the wind is blowing like crazy that sometimes the air can be a big dust bowl! It doesnt cool down completely but it does help a little. It is nice to have some cloud cover for a little bit to get out of the intense heat of the sun. The only bad part is when the Sun comes out the next day it is humid!

This week has been pretty intense with storms and the other night the rain was coming down so hard and the wind was blowing so hard I wanted to take pictures of it! Both Ryan and I just sat outside watching the storm! It reminds me of Summers back home when it would be really hot and humid during the day and then really hard rain and thunder and lighting at night! Love it!!!

Here are a few shots from the other night and a video. I wish it was a little bit darker so I could have gotten more lighting but o well. In the video you can hear the thunder and see the rain coming down so hard while the wind is blowing the trees everywhere!

Holy crap Karm, that is one intense storm! So reminds me of Chi town, I always hated those crazy lightning storms that seemed to come in every afternoon! Great pictures! I'm sure you guys need the water to! Cute background! I love you and can't wait to hear how things are going!

You guys must be enjoying these stroms as much as we are! Aren't they so crazy! I am still amazed at how loud that thunder is! Hope you're doing good...we need to catch up!

You are so lucky! We've had threats and some rain. And it's all been in the evening. Vegas used to get storms like that all the time while I was growing up here. Floods in our backyards, power going out. It'd be an all day and sometimes all week deal. We haven't had a good rainstorm in years. I miss it!!!

I absolutely LOVE summer rain storms too, but I HATE the humidity. I also love sleeping with the windows open during a rain storm so that sleep to the sound. Don't you remember some of the rain storms from Dixie?

Last week I was home doing some work before I had to leave for a Home Visit. I was siting on my couch when I hear someone on my back porch moving our chairs around. I thought it was Ryan since sometimes he comes in from the back when he puts his tools and ladders away. This is really LONG and sorry mostly words but those of you who like to read my spiritual posts continue on because this is a big one! Just before Christmas Ryan and I were told about a possible adoption opportunity. We had talked about adopting in the past but had not done anything about it due to well.............. I cant really say. With this new opportunity of, just by chance my waiting to be a mom could be over, brought lots of emotions of excitement, joy, worry, anxiety, hope, and so many more. We needed to get our acts together right away in the process since the potential birth mom was due in May. Ryan's mom has a dear friend working for LDS services here in Washington and got us set up right away to get started on all the paperwork, online stuff, and going about getting all the background checks and homestudy done. BIG CHANGE

So I was asked a couple of weeks ago to teach a class for Enrichment on: HOW to CREATE a SAFE BLOG I had been fighting the feeling of putting my blog private for sometime now. I am a little lazy and haven't wanted to take the extra time to get everyones email and then go through the process of changing things over but the time has come TO MAKE A CHANGE! I do use my blog to share my life and all aspects of it.
