Family Time
I dont get to post to often of doing things with family since both sides live so far away. Being from Chicago and having everyone there and Ryan being from Seattle and having pretty much everyone there makes visits and time together few and far between.
I am so thankful that my brother had the opprotunity this summer to take a lot of time off and take a car full of five kids across the country and get to visit Ryan and I! When you only have one sibling and you live so far from them at times when you need them a phone call, web chat, or email just isnt enough. Sometimes you need to have them with you in person. My brother made a trip and got here when I needed him to be and it was so nice to spend time with him, Amy ( my sister n law) and my five adorable neices and nephews. We didnt have a lot of time together due to Ryan and I still working and they ready to head home but I think it was time well spent!
When anyone comes I want it to be perfect and want them to feel at home and everything they need and not have to worry. I like to plan activities and make sure that they have a good time. I knew that being in Arizona at the end of August isnt the best time to visit so Ryan and I did the best we could to entertain.
Sat we started off with chocolate chip muffins ( the kids favorite) and got in our suits to go swimming! You can NEVER go wrong with a pool when it is 110 outside!
Here are some photos of us swimming together.

After swimming we had a surprise for them! Ryan and I wanted to treat them to the DBACKS vs LA DODGERS game that evening. It was so fun! It was the kids first time at a baseball game and Amy's too! We had nine of us so we were kind of high in the building but it was still a good view!
Here are some shots of the game!

Sunday after church and a yummy sunday night dinner we headed off to the temple. Amy is really good about having the kids visit the different temples and letting them experience them. The kids were very excited to go to the temple and walk around. We waited till the sun was headed down to go since it was a hot day.

Monday was another day of playing and swimming. I am so glad that I have the job that I do! It comes in handy when you need toys to play with! They loved my farm, books, animals and the big hit was my picnic set!

The three days went fast and I was sad to see them go! It was so nice to have little ones in the house! I feel so blessed that even though we live far away from one another they know Ryan and I and they love us and love being with us! When they left it was so quite and it made me sad! I dont know if it is because I am getting older or what but I hate being far away from family. I have always been one to be independent and heck I left right after school and went to Utah and never have gone back. O well such is life! We are so glad that they came and we were able to spend time with them! Family is very important and I feel so lucky to have them! Thanks again for visiting us here in the Valley of Sun! We love you!
