BACK TO THE MOUNTAINS
Last week at this time we were in Salt Lake City, Utah. It has been a little over a year and half since I have been back. Utah holds a special place for me since I lived there for seven years after highschool and went there a ton while growing up. Those seven years I became closer to my friends that I have met from college than I am with those from back home. I know Utah by the back of my hand but for some reason cant get around the outside of my hometown Aurora for the life of me!! Those friends that I met became "FAMILY" to me due to being so far away from home.
We only had a short time in Utah. We got to see a lot of friends and family but there were a lot that we were not able to see and I feel bad. I hope you can forgive us and know that we love you! We came for my roommates wedding and it turned out beautiful!
Here are a few shots of Katie and Clayton on their big day!

The reception was outside in her Uncle's backyard! It was beautiful!

My dear friends from College Kirsten and Dave and two of their four kids came and it was so nice to see them! Here are a few shots of us together!

Here are a few shots of some people we were able to visit.

Ryan playing twister with her son Eli!
A family I worked with in Vegas moved to Utah a little over a year ago and we got to see them! They have become "Family" and we miss them so! Ryan was just as excited as I was to see them!
Ryan was very close to one of his mission companions and continues on with that friendship still today. We got to stay with Brett, Jayme and their little girl Jayde while we were there and it was so nice! Both Ryan and I wanted to steal away their little girl! She is such a cutie!!! Someday Someday! :)
Last year we had a big DIXIE girl reunion in St. George in October. We had a mini one when I came up this past weekend. We were missing a few from St. George ( Allison and Missy) due to scheduling issues and one (Jill) had a little girl with the swine flu and we missed them!!! The rest of us got together at Fat Cats/ Pizza Factory and had dinner and then got ice cream and went and just hung out together talking till midnight! I feel so blessed to have these girls in my life! I met them eleven years ago and no matter how long time goes between when we all see each other it seems like yesterday!!! It was fun to have the boys there too and they got along great! Most of the conversations were about sports and there was some school rivalry talk but they had a good time! I am hoping the next get together is a couples cruise! I just think we would have a blast all together!!!
Here are some fun photos together!

Hanging out at the house
Ryan and met up with Jill and her son Tanner at his flag football game. We were sad to not be able to stay the night at their house due to Addison having the swine flu and took a great chance going to the game but we both miss them so much and didnt want to miss seeing them! Jill and Jer lived really close to us in Vegas and we did so many thing together and Ryan and Tanner became very close! It was a sweet reunion! Tanner was so excited to see us!
We spent the last day with Ryan's little sister and Aunt and Uncle in Provo. We went to Thriller and had Olive Garden. I am sad that I didnt get pictures but o well! I am sure by now you are like ENOUGH!!! :)
Both Ryan and I have a place for Utah in our hearts. We lived our first two years of marriage in this cute apartment complex in the avenues, called Swiss Chalet!
We both never want to live there again but do love to visit and do love and miss our loved ones there!
