Fall Festival 2009

This year since I am in Young Womens I got the privilage to help out with the Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat! The Young Womans President and I were over the Laurel's booth! We did something very simple and quiet for the little ones since we new that they would get a lot of stimulation with the other booths. We did a coloring Halloween pictures booth! It was a hit acutally and I think the parents appreciated a down time one!

She was the beautiful Snow White and I was a Bumble Bee! ( a quick pulled together costume!)

Here we are the only one we got together and we are looking at her Granddaughter in a lady bug costume that you cant see!

The Ward Activities commitee did an awesome job with decorations and so many fun things for the kids to enjoy!

The Trunk or Treat was so fun!!! I got to help take my Friends little girls around and it just made my night! Hearing them say Trick or Treat and getting so excited and saying "mom look candy"!!! Was so priceless!


Some of the Trunks went all out! The High Priest Leader did his Trunk as a Pirate ship it was AMAZING!!! They had a treasure box for the kids filled with candy so cute!




The kids really went all out on their costumes! I loved this one!

Since I was sick for the acutual day of Halloween this was my day of celebration! We had a good time! I was so glad that I got to dress up!!! I love dressing up!!! Ryan on the other hand does not! I still love him though!!!

Your booth was perfect!! The kids loved it! I loved your costume and glad you got to celebrate before you were down and out for the real day! Get your rest though....I will be seeing you Nov. 19th!! :)

Sorry! I am just getting around to updating my blog and catching up on everyone else's. I have just read through the past 5 or so posts of yours and have to tell ya just how sweet you are! First of all, I know I already told ya on FB but I am so sad I wasn't able to be with you Dixie girls in SLC a few weeks ago. I could have used a get away and would have loved to have seen everyone again! You are right though...no matter how much time passes, when we get together it's as if nothing has ever changed. Hope we can come on that couple's cruise! :) I am glad that you have found joy in blogging. I have loved it too. I love being able to keep a family history (especially since I have a bad memory.) You are right...it is different for everyone and it is nice to get comments about thoughts/feelings. Hmmm...what else can I comment about since this is the longest comment EVER!?! You are a cute bee and I love that you get into the spirit of the holiday. You are so fun! Ryan is lucky to have a gal like you! (And yes I did say GAL!) Anyway babe, I love ya and hope things are going good!!!

Dang, your ward must have a lot of money...they did a wonderful job decorating and the guy on stilts is crazy. I can't imagine being so high up there. Love the pirate ship and I also love the Harley boys all dressed up like bikers. Glad you had so much at your ward party and sorry to hear you were sick on Halloween! I love you!

I love that pirate ship trunk! How cool! We did a trunk-or-treat at our ward party, but we were the only trunk that decorated. Looks like you belong to a really fun ward!

Last week I was home doing some work before I had to leave for a Home Visit. I was siting on my couch when I hear someone on my back porch moving our chairs around. I thought it was Ryan since sometimes he comes in from the back when he puts his tools and ladders away. Except after this man gets the chair he places it in the corner by our french doors and sits down! My heart starts to beat and I go to the front to see if Ryan's truck is outside. His truck is NOT outside!!!! I then go to the window where the previous renters had broke and pear out and see a man sitting in my chair with tattoos all up his arm, wearing a wife beater and dickie shorts. This is really LONG and sorry mostly words but those of you who like to read my spiritual posts continue on because this is a big one! Just before Christmas Ryan and I were told about a possible adoption opportunity. We had talked about adopting in the past but had not done anything about it due to well.............. I cant really say. With this new opportunity of, just by chance my waiting to be a mom could be over, brought lots of emotions of excitement, joy, worry, anxiety, hope, and so many more. We needed to get our acts together right away in the process since the potential birth mom was due in May. Ryan's mom has a dear friend working for LDS services here in Washington and got us set up right away to get started on all the paperwork, online stuff, and going about getting all the background checks and homestudy done. BIG CHANGE

So I was asked a couple of weeks ago to teach a class for Enrichment on: HOW to CREATE a SAFE BLOG I had been fighting the feeling of putting my blog private for sometime now. I am a little lazy and haven't wanted to take the extra time to get everyones email and then go through the process of changing things over but the time has come TO MAKE A CHANGE! I do use my blog to share my life and all aspects of it. I have been really personal in the past year and I know that a lot of people that I really didnt/shouldnt have read the things that I have been going through have read it.
