Aloha 30!!

I just have to start off by saying............I have the most amazing husband. He is such a romantic and every year that we have been together he has done something so special for my birthday! He always puts so much thought into it and ALWAYS makes me feel so special and so loved. THe last few years he has taken me on little getaways to resorts and I have been pampered. Well this year he went ABOVE and BEYOND and made turning 30 AMAZING!!!!

My girlfriend from Las Vegas called Ryan up and invited us to go to Maui with them. They had a Beautiful Time Share Suite in Kanapolia. They offered to pay for the place all we needed to do was get there. Her husband and seven year old son were going and wanted us to join them. Ryan couldnt pass this opprotunity up and thought it would be perfect timing so he didnt tell me till we were at the airport!!!

Here we are after we landed waiting for my friend and her family!
The Time Share was right on the ocean and it was just BREATH TAKING!!!

Oh my gosh where do I start!!! We got food at Costco and Whole Foods and when we got to the Time Share this is what we saw outside!!!

The next day we did the road to HANA!!! Unbelievable! Sooo beautiful!!! We did a lot of hiking to see Water falls, the black beaches, cliff diving and just beautiful scenery.

Yes Ryan is way up there and yes he jumped!! Not only did he jump but he left his wedding ring in the ocean! Oh well a part of the Wennerlinds will always be in MAUI!

Here is the video of his jump!

The next day Ryan and Scott went and golfed along the ocean while Nicole, Ethan and I hung out at the beach.

The next day we went Parasailing and snorkaling!!! They were two big things for me to overcome since I am pretty afraid of water and afraid of heights!!! The guys on the boat for parasailing knew how scared I was so they took extra pictures of me taking off and of my face! I am sharing these knowing that I will be made fun of but it is proof I faced my fears and you can definitly tell it was a FEAR!!!

ENJOY!!!

We then went to the beach and snorkled. I am terrified of water where I cannot touch. After almost drowning my Senior year in Lake Michigan I havent been the same with deep water. I havent learned to swim and that has a lot to do with it too! Snorkling was a little scary for me but I faced my fear and once I figured out how to breath and move with the life jacket and fins I was off and coudlnt get enough! I saw so many beautiful fish and the highlight of it all was having a SEA TURTLE run into me!!! It was such a rush and made it so worth it!!!!

After we spent a lot of time on the beach we went up to the jungle and the blow hole. The pictures of the water against the island were so amazing!!!

The last night that we were there we BBQ except it happened to be a really windy night. It was pretty hard to keep the BBQ lit and working but we managed to have a good meal outside even though it was crazy wind!

I was so sad to go home and call it THE END at Maui!!! The trip COULD NOT have come at any better time for me! It was so perfect! It helped me regroup and relax. Plus being by the ocean ALWAYS makes me a HAPPY girl!

Maui was the beginning of August so it was a little early for my birthday. This past weekend I took Friday off so I could have a LONG birthday weekend and spend it with my bestfriend and family!

Friday we went to LAKE TAPPS with doggy. We just recently moved and got our own place really close to the Lake that Ryan would go water sking on every Summer growing up. It was a BEAUTIFUL sunny day and Haydeez swam for the first time! He was a NATURAL like his daddy! He was not like me!!!

Later that night we invited Ryan's brother and family to the Mariners game. The kids had such a fun time and were so good!! Plus the Mariners won and doesnt happen to often so it was a nice game to go too!

Saturday morning I woke up to these-
Ryan's sister went through the temple on Saturday so it was so nice to spend the day in the temple with family and enjoying the special moment with Stevie.

Every year we have gone to Orginal Pancake House for my birthday breakfest of GERMAN PANCAKES............but now that I am GLUTEN free that is no longer an option! :(  I decided to make my own for my birthday with rice flour instead! It turned out really well and tasted VERY yummy. The Gluten diet is definitly getting easier and I am getting better with trying to substitute my favorite items with Gluten free ingredients.

We then headed down to Eatonville to go to church with family. We then had a big Gluten Free dinner that was delicious! Mom made me a Gluten Free Lemon Margane Pie my favorite and made a big cake for everyone else so I had a pie all to myself!

I then got to open presents! Isaac was such a big help! He loved it! I got a blender/grinder that will grind rice so that I can make my own rice flour. It also does pretty much anything! Very Very nice! Kim and Kyle were so sweet to get me a gift card to TARGET-My favorite!!!!

WOW!!! Sorry, I think this was by far my longest post that I have ever done! If you stuck with me to the end thank you, if not I totally understand! I wanted to put it all together since it was all dealing with my BIRTHDAY! Plus this one is my 30th. I am no longer considered young anymore- no more considered a Spring Chicken! :)

I was really dreding this birthday but it ended up being so wonderful and I dont feel any different. I am hoping that my 30's have some REALLY good things in store. They are already starting with Ryan and I being able to move out and be on our own. I am hoping this will help me feel more settled but we shall see.

Thank you to all of you who called, facebooked, or texted me on my day! I appreciate it so much! I am VERY lucky to know so many wonderful people and be so blessed by all of you!

HERE's TO MY 30's!!!!!!!

Love you!

Oh my gosh Karm, what an AWESOME surprise!!!! Hawaii holds a special place in my heart after going for the first time this past March..couldn't get enough. I'm so proud of you for facing so many fears and yes Karm those pictures of your face ROCKED!!! Ha ha, love Ryan's to..they are great! Karm you're still young and everyone who see's ya will still think your 22..just wait! What a special thing to go do and how sweet of your friends to invite you to come along. I was the same with snorkelling, I would keep holding my breath and feel the urge to pop up and Casey would laugh at me..it's a funny feeling breathing under water, but once you get lost in the beauty you forget.
You have the best hubby ever, go Ryan! Love that you had such a great Birthday, you deserve every bit of it! I love you girl and miss you oh so much. I really enjoyed this post and I'm glad to hear you're getting better with the diet, you are such a trooper!
Happy 30th Karm!

Going to Hawaii is probably the best way I've heard of to celebrate turning 30! You are a lucky girl! We went two years ago and absolutely loved it! I can't wait to go again. When I am feel down and want a good laugh I come to this post. Your face while parasailing is priceless! It brings such a big smile to my face and heart. You look scared out of your mind, yet you try to put a smile on your face. You could see thru the smile into the fear, but I love that you were trying to smile even though you were so scared. It's such a metaphor to your life. You smile even when it's hard. You smile even when you want to cry. You smile when your heart is breaking. Some day you will have a little baby in your arms and that smile will become a permismile like Clint's. You have such a happy heart. Your smile is such a blessing and beautiful even when it's genuine and semi fake. Love you TIAB!
