Snowy Thanksgiving 2010
Made me think- Oh I wish we were going to California!!! I am NOT liking the white stuff falling from the sky and ESPECIALLY NOT liking the temperature at 11 degrees at night and around 20's during the day!
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I did make the most of it and found my beanies from when I lived in Salt Lake City and took doggy out to enjoy the snow for his VERY first time! It was fun to watch him as he wasnt quite sure what to think. By the time he was done running up and down the driveway he gave me the LOOK of...........I'm COLD, I'm DONE, inside PLEASE!
I couldnt help but think with this look on his face- that he was trying to tell me
I miss ARIZONA weather!!! Please take me back! I then told him I agree baby, I agree!
Ryan's parents house got hit with WAY more snow than we got! They made HUGE records with getting 10 1/2 inches of SNOW.
Now for those who are not FAMILIAR with Seattle. Snow is NOT something that they usually get! The normal temps during the day during the Winter average around the 40's and rain. To get snow is a big deal and then to get the amount that we did was a HUGE deal! It was very scary since Seattle is not like home in Chicago where there is thousands of Plows all lined up on the freeway and streets anticipating the storm. Seattle is NO where equipped to deal with it and so on Monday coming home it took me over 2 and 1/2 hours to travel 24 miles!! I kissed the ground when I got to our house! It was ONE SCARY DRIVE home! Cars all over the embankments, ditches, semi's jacknifed, and then STUPID STUPID people driving so fast and causing more accidents! It was insane! Then not only that but the next day and all the snow begins to melt and then it freezes at night and all the ROADS are ICE RINKS!!! I swear I have NEVER seen such CHAOS!!
Lucky for me- SNOW days in SEATTLE mean- NO WORK! So I got to Hang out with Ryan! Here he is scrapping off the CAR!
SO lucky me I had the WHOLE week off last week PAID! It was a nice treat!
Thanksgiving we went over to my sisters and brothers house in Spanaway. Kim, mom, and I split up the duties of the dinner. I was really anxious and nervous about contributing to the dinner cause I am not a confident cook by any means. I picked the simple things of roll, salad, and yams and even then struggled to get it right. Everyone was very nice though and I think the dinner turned out BEAUTIFULLY and it was very YUMMY!
Here are my yams getting ready to be put into the oven.
Here is the island with all the yummy food
Haydeez trying to get from the couch to the island! Silly boy

Drew was pretty bored with us-
Boys watched football while the Girls played games
Ryan had to work at 3:30 so we had dinner at 12:00 so he could eat with us and then take off. I got a major headache soon after he left and it made me very dizzy and caused me to throw up. I was sad because I was not feeling well and decided to go home. Kim drove me home and Haydeez and I spent the rest of the night together alone in the dark. I was bummed too cause I wanted to do some BLACK FRIDAY shopping!!! O well, maybe next YEAR!
I cant help but be Thankful for all that has transpired this past year! I especially am so thankful for the LONG awaited answers that came to me this Thanksgiving week. This past week I can not deny the hand of the LORD with all that has taken place as I have gottten together all my records and needed things for the doctor in Texas to do a two hour phone consulation with me on Tuesday morning (12/7). When I talk to him on Tuesday I will know NEXT STEPS and what my treatment will intale. I will update and let you all know!
I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving!! Thank you for ALL of you encouraging and wonderful comments upon my behalf! I appreciate it so much!
Love The Wennerlinds
