I remember when I was in 6th grade and thinking WOW that year went by REALLY fast!!! Then hearing my mother tell me just wait, each year will get FASTER and FASTER and FASTER.


I was so little ( 11) at the time and the thought was too much to wrap around- NO WAY, time wont keep getting FASTER and FASTER but it really does!

I CANT believe that it has been 8 years since I married Ryan in the Temple of my dreams and started down the path of being with him for ETERNITY. It just seems CRAZY!

Ryan always does well for me in the ROMANTIC part.
His boss at work dad owns a bunch of Hotels in the Seattle area so he was nice enough to get us a room at

CEDARBROOK LODGE



I met him there from work and right when I get out of the car he hands me these!


It was so NICE! It was so beautiful amongst all the TALL evergreen trees and all the Flowers! They had complimentary snacks, beverages, and icecream for the guests! Ryan was in heaven and LOVED the Hagen Das icecream, chocolate covered pretzels and malt balls. I enjoyed the free WATER! BUMMER- I was good- it was SO tempting to eat those pretzels are covered in WHITE!!! YUM YUM!

He then took me to dinner in at the Lodge! I ate the BEST SAMON I have EVER tasted!! OH my! That is one thing I will miss being away from the water!

As we talked over dinner last night we both agreed that it seems like it has gone fast but also feels like its way longer.

We sat and talked about all the things that we have done in the past 8 years and it is pretty crazy all that we have been through and accomplished.

Some of it has been so wonderful!

Some of it has been a lot of HEARTACHE.

ALL of it is UNDOUBTABLE been TENDER MERCIES and BLESSINGS from GOD.


Last year it was our 7th year

I titled it  LUCKY SEVEN
And it definitely was just that! I didn’t get the END result like I had hoped I would get.

BUT I did get answers and I think that is PRETTY DARN LUCKY! And when I say LUCK

 I mean MIRACLES from GOD.

In the past 8 years Ryan and I have been able to:

Go to Hawaii

Go to Florida

Go to Washington DC, Maryland, and Virgina

Go to Chicago multiple times to see family

Go to Seattle multiple times to see family (before we lived there)

Go to California multiple times to see family

Go to Utah to visit family and lived there

Graduate from Colleges with our Degrees with income to support both of us in school without any loans to pay back

Help start up a company and grow in confidence that we could make it work even though it ended up not being our plan to continue

Have work wherever we live that provides a COMFORTABLE way of living

Buy a home, buy cars that run well, and have lived a fairly NICE life together

We have been blessed with a sweet adorable puppy that brings us great joy

We have always had the blessings of the TEMPLE less than 40 minutes away

We have been blessed with great wards to be apart of

We have MOVED a TON but with each MOVE

We have made some INCREDIBLE friends along the WAY that have made us who we ARE today!

We have definitely HAD our SHARE of ups and downs these past 8 years

 Our FAITH, LOVE, SPIRITS and MARRIAGE at times STRUGGLED

BUT as we worked through each TRIAL and STRUGGLE it made us STRONGER as a COUPLE and has MADE us CLOSER to one another and ESPECIALLY the LORD.

I NEVER would have thought that OUR life would LOOK like this at 8 years.

Of course I would like to have been settled somewhere
Of course I would like to have 2-3 kids
Of course I would like Ryan to have a GOOD job so I can be that STAY at HOME Mom

BUT how can I complain and be sad?

I CAN'T or I would be 1 SELFISH, UNGRATFUL, person!!!

When I look at ALL the BLESSINGS in the past 8 years I cant say anything

BUT

We have had it pretty darn good and have been blessed in so many ways!!!

So here's to the 8th year and may it bring even more JOY, HAPPINESS, and BLESSINGS from above!

Oh Karm, you are just wonderful! IT was so fun reading over your lists of everything you guys have done over eight years! I couldn't agree more, time is going by way to fast! I remember the day you got married, what a special day inside such a special temple! You two are so wonderful and what a great post on counting your blessings and naming them one by one! I want to know about your move and what's going on! Again give Ryan props from us on making it a special anniversary! OH and I've done three posts in two days...catchin up Karm! Love you tons and hey on your move you guys HAVE to stop and stay with us again!!!

Happy Anniversary! You're right, it does go by so quickly!! Good luck with your move and getting settled in Las Vegas! I hope if you move again, it will be to Texas! ;)

Congrats! I'm so grateful for your happiness. Life never works out how we think, but then it's usually pretty good when we realize how blessed we are. And I'm sooooooooooooooo happy that you're coming for Christmas!! Hooray! Love you!

Last week I was home doing some work before I had to leave for a Home Visit. I was siting on my couch when I hear someone on my back porch moving our chairs around. I thought it was Ryan since sometimes he comes in from the back when he puts his tools and ladders away. Except after this man gets the chair he places it in the corner by our french doors and sits down! My heart starts to beat and I go to the front to see if Ryan's truck is outside. This is really LONG and sorry mostly words but those of you who like to read my spiritual posts continue on because this is a big one! Just before Christmas Ryan and I were told about a possible adoption opportunity. We had talked about adopting in the past but had not done anything about it due to well.............. I cant really say. With this new opportunity of, just by chance my waiting to be a mom could be over, brought lots of emotions of excitement, joy, worry, anxiety, hope, and so many more. We needed to get our acts together right away in the process since the potential birth mom was due in May. Ryan's mom has a dear friend working for LDS services here in Washington and got us set up right away to get started on all the paperwork, online stuff, and going about getting all the background checks and homestudy done. BIG CHANGE

So I was asked a couple of weeks ago to teach a class for Enrichment on: HOW to CREATE a SAFE BLOG I had been fighting the feeling of putting my blog private for sometime now. I am a little lazy and haven't wanted to take the extra time to get everyones email and then go through the process of changing things over but the time has come TO MAKE A CHANGE! I do use my blog to share my life and all aspects of it. I have been really personal in the past year and I know that a lot of people that I really didnt/shouldnt have read the things that I have been going through have read it.
